Absolutely Amazing
Guillemots are probably one of the finest live acts ever known to the U.K. music scene of the 21st Century. Their music is simplistic but effective, their sound well rounded and their lyrics are potent and contemplative. Their music has a natural connection with the listener; it’s mild and temperate but it has a rather overwhelming effect. The lyrics are meaningful and pensive; thought provoking.
“Falling Out Of Reach” is one of the best songs to be released in 2008 so far. It’s subtle musical perfection. The lyrics are wonderful, dreamy. The music is complementary and acutely enticing. There is such a lackadaisical approach to the musicality of this track; the guitars are relaxed, the drums knock out a rather stagger laid-back pace and the vocals are so impeccable and utterly passionate. Simply ace.
