Maths Class

Maths Class are a self proclaimed concrete punk powerhouse from Brighton and are ready to take over the world with their frenetic, and energetic combination of electro punk and screamo pop.

This party band from Brighton open their debut EP with “Nerves” a track which screams and twists throughout showing the incredible nature of the bands fast paced and exciting song writing ability. Despite the obvious quality of the opening track this EP just seems to improve as you rush through the fifteen short minutes of ecstasy. 'Deutchse' is fine tuned to perfection and is a joy to listen to, with its electro sounds finely intertwined with catchy guitar riffs and rolling bass riffs.

'Jonny Got The Jawline' is another song writing accomplishment with its changing rhythms, catchy guitar riffs and its pedal to the metal verses. 'Branches' and 'Replays Of Relays' continue to excite and show an original sound which is refreshing yet unsettling and may not be to everybody’s taste.

One thing which is certainly noticeable from this EP is that this doesn’t sound like a debut EP. This band has a fine tuned style and attitude towards their music which is interesting and exhilarating. It is certain that Maths Class have a great future ahead and have to be one of my favourite bands to stumble across in a long time. Check them out!
