Impressive, Most Impressive

Gravity Dip’s, Tellison and Big Scary Monster’s, Tubelord have joined forces and released a double A side on Banquet Records. Confused? Don’t be. All you need to know as this release combines two of the best and innovative bands around right now.

Following on from their brilliant 2007 debut, ‘Contact! Contact!’ Tellison shimmer with the magnificent ‘Wasp Nest’. All peppered with sweat and urgency and with vocalist, Peter Phillips whiskey and honey soaked vocals tuned to perfection; this is just yet another masterclass in pure perfection from the London based band.

Tubelord too are just exceptional. Following on from their debut album released earlier this year, ‘Night of the Pencils’ just follows on from where the album left off • leaving the listener breathless, excited and pining for more. Starting slowly but building up to a wildly frenetic crescendo of noise that soon descends into an electro tinged breakdown and then out again, it is the ADHD of songs. Never distracting or annoying; it is simply a remarkable audio journey.

With both bands making quite the name for themselves of late and coming out with some truly exceptional work, as well as impressive live performances under their collective belts, both bands both command and deserve your attention.
