The guitarist and drummer got together to form By Night in 1999 in Falkenberg, Sweden as their old band Predicted Conspiracy had split. They recorded a demo in 2001, 'Derelict', but soon after their then vocalist Christoffer Andersson quit. Adrian filled the post though and the band went on to record their first full length 'Lamentations' in 2002. Lifeforce took interest and took signed them to their roster.
