Mudvayne started back in 1996 in Peoria, IL. Caked in make-up and forming onstage personas, the band managed to self-release a first album 'Kill I Oughta'. This caught the attention of Epic who signed them and sent them on a national tour supporting the then up and coming Slipknot. Their debut on Epic was released at the end of this tour 'L.D.50' and immediately went gold. They also were awarded the first ever MTV2 Video award in 2002. Due to fans insistency, Mudvayne re-released their original album under the name 'The Beginning Of All Things To End'.

A year later with a new album 'The End Of All Things To Come' and new pseudonyms the band toured Europe returning to the States for the 'Summer Sanitarium' tour that also featured Metallica and Linkin Park.

After a break of almost two years Mudvayne have re-emerged stripped of make-up and as themselves, one of the few survivors of the 'nu-metal' period. 'Happy?' the new single from the album 'Lost and Found' (released 2005) is set to be a winner. After several low key performances in the UK they are all set for the Download festival later in the year. read less
