Being in a Rock band means touring, however few bands embrace this as comfortably as Electric Eel Shock (EES).
Even before the band had signed their first license deal with a label in March 2004 they had toured in over 21 countries.

Less than a year later with their first commercially available album “Go Europe!” released on different labels in the UK, Europe, Japan, Australia and soon to be America they have taken that tally to nearly 30 different countries around the world and they are not stopping…

During the hectic promotion of “Go Europe!” EES were already preparing their next project and new album. The band finally were able to plan going into the studio with a record label budget for the first time - all previous recordings have been financed by the band and limited by the money they make on the road. EES secured the services of Grammy nominated producer Attie Bauw (Scorpions, Judas Priest etc), who had become a fan after seeing them live in Amsterdam in 2002.

In between their 27 festival appearances in the summer of 2004 EES wrote the New Album. They went into the famous Wisseloord Studios in Holland at the end of November 2004.

The new, as yet unamed album, is showing a great organic progression in their sound and maturity in their song writing. We are sure this record is going to surprise a lot of people!!

Electric Eel Shock released their first album "Maybe... I think We Can Beat Nirvana" back in 1997. The following year they released their live album "Live Punctured", and by 1999, they had established their own independent label "Micro Music".

In April of '99, E.E.S. executed their first tour of New York. Shortly afterward they released their second studio album entitled "Slayer's Bay Blues". They returned to New York for two more shocking tours including a performance at the renowned NYC’s CMJ Music Festival 2000. In all the places that they performed the audiences grew larger and larger with each performance.

In February 2001 they finished a tour of Canada and the U.S. that included such legendary clubs as New York's CBGB and Toronto's El Mocambo. Then in June they hit the road again for a nationwide tour of Japan, following it with a tremendously successful return tour of the U.S. and Canada.

Audiences continued to go crazy for their high voltage music. In June 2001, E.E.S. released a new split CD with the American band, The Get-Go from San Francisco, entitled "E.G. Split", which helped to spread Eel Shock's rock to new territories.

In September 2001, E.E.S. won through to the CMJ Music Marathon again. They intended to go on a North America tour including a showcase at the festival, but it was 11th of September when they left Japan… Some gigs were obviously cancelled but they carried through it sharing stages with the likes of The Datsuns, The D4 and The Warlocks and won the highest praise.

In March 02, they toured West Coast and Texas. The final performance of the tour was at SXSW Music Festival in Austin where they played with both The D4 and The Datsuns once again. EES hit the US and Canadian highways once again in November 2002 to promote new album "GO America!". The first 'break' in their schedule coming in January 2003 when they spent just over a week in the UK.


As everyone who been to see their shows know words do not really do EES justice. But their energy and power is spreading all over the world and you will also see it!

In the meantime Go Europe gets its American release in March 2005 on Gearhead Records... Re-titled Go-USA!
