Biography
The Steers have attracted great support before their first single, 'Rewind, Repeat' was even released. The band were recently announced as winners of the 2007 Diesel-U-Music awards, and have been personally selected by The Hold Steady to be main support for their UK tour in July. They have recently supported Underground Heroes on a UK tour, and completed support slots with The Automatic, Stereophonics and The Wombats amongst others.James and Sid first formed The Steers from within the confines of Sid's student bedroom, a space resourcefully used not just as a sleeping area but also as a recording studio-come-gig venue. Ben and Kris joined the band some time later, after James and Sid has sifted through 12 other members, and were united by a mutual fondness bands like The Jam, Blur, Radiohead and The Cure.
