Biography
MelonHeadMan are a five-piece Southern Rock outfit from the UK. All songs are written by Simon Savage and reflect a lifelong love affair with Southern Rock music. "I grew-up listening to Black Oak Arkansas, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers and Molly Hatchet to name but a few" says Savs. Singing songs about wild-hearted women who'll steal your soul and taking you right back to the 1970's, MelonHeadMan come very highly recommended. "To me, MelonHeadMan is a family... A group of guys constantly full of new ideas and musical creativity" Says keyboardist Sam Woods. "We all have our personal role and put our own spin on everyone's ideas".When it comes to playing live, DJ Paul Chamberlain from rock radio station ARfm, best sums it up: "Last year I received a CD from Kent based boogie band MelonHeadMan, and as blown away as I was - live they're even better.
