A Pop Pick Me Up
Melodic, Jangly 60s style pop from Steel; like a Grease movie show-tune meets The Beach Boys, his approach is interesting to say the least. The vocal harmonies and woohoos combined with the high pitched singing and over the top catchy melody contrast really nicely with the humorous lyrical content about a guy who is in a coma because he was hit by a taxi driver (“I’m in a coma, In a coma, In a coma but it worked out for a while/I was a hero, was a hero, was a hero and I saved that girl with style”), especially at the very end of the track when it just cuts to a flat line noise.
The whole track is full of catchy and interesting little noises and has a great tune that’s sure to pick you up no matter how bad a day you’ve had.
