Too floaty

This single is from the forthcoming album ‘Two Sunsets’, a collaboration between two bands, The Pastels from Glasgow and Tenniscoats from Tokyo. The songs here are very sweet and twinkly, ‘Vivid Youth’ is so laidback it almost becomes easy listening, a cute little indie riff saunters in and muffled guitars thrum under uber-twee female vocals, so floaty they almost disappear like smoke, it feels a bit over long though as the 60s style flute waffles on for quite some time towards the end. ‘About You’ is a cover of a Jesus and Mary Chain song, but with all the fuzz removed and slowed down even more than the original, it doesn’t do much with that classic tune, just adds some whispery vocal "ahhs" in the background. It doesn’t seem necessary to include an instrumental of this track, but they have, unfortunately it’s very dull without the vocals .
