A great offering from the prog rockers...
Released on 12th October 2009, ‘Million Dollar Wound’ is the new EP from prog rockers Tilt, a band that has collaborated with artists as diverse as KT Tunstall, Simple Minds and Porcupine Tree.
‘Long Gone’, featuring vocalist Kaela Rowan, is a melancholy, lonely track with strong Celtic influences that is guaranteed to send shivers up your spine. This offering, bursting with emotion, is definitely the better track on the EP. Kaela Rowan’s unique voice is absolutely beautiful, perfectly complemented by the vocal harmonies and acoustic backing melodies.
‘No Superman’, however, is a complete contrast to the opening track; this is heavy, raw rock - vocalist Vantsis has a great meaty voice not unlike ex-Gypsy Rose singer David Reece. The EP version of this song features an alternative guitar solo from Robin Boult that can be summed up in one word - incredible! Such is the difference between the two tracks that it’s hard to believe that they’re from the same musicians!
