The Title Sequence - Lovers/Evenings Spent With You
The Title Sequence, formerly known as The Sound Of Bailey originally formed in 2007 when childhood friend’s songwriter David Bailey and producer Nick Crofts came together over the love of electronic music.
After some time apart working on different projects, the North London duo are back together and are about to release a double A side single of ‘Lovers’ and ‘Evenings Spent With You’. The first song, ‘Lovers’ is beautifully crafted with piano friendly melodies, building on the chorus to form rolling grooves and harmonies. Unfortunately it is one of those tunes that is neither a ballad nor upbeat and therefore is hard to define. The latter of the two, ‘Evenings Spent With You’ is certainly more of a slower number; something emotionally driven while still builds on the piano melodies and is actually more instrumentally focused than vocally or lyrically.
Considering there are only two guys in the band you may be wondering where remainder of the music comes from. Well that’s is the hidden band member’s responsibility, a vintage reel-to-reel tape machine which provides irregular instrumentation. The single is release on 24th May but before that the band can be seen on stage on the followings dates and locations: -
04/04/10 Communion @ Notting Hill Arts Club - London
08/04/10 Voga Rarochia @ The Old Queens Head - London
