Epic and doomladen atmospherics
This new track (taken from the album “Night Is The New Day”) has melody and strength, a cross of hard rock and prog-doom metal (with a dark Goth twang)makes it tuneful but at the same time heavy and the prog edge keeps everything quite fresh; luckily it never strays into cheese or sounds familiar. The track has quite an epic feel, opening softly and with gentle vocals and synths, it lulls you, before breaking open with a crash of heavy riffs and then the vocals are taken up a notch, becoming much more powerful and emotional. A really solid track and a good choice for a single because it makes you want to hear more of the new album.
