The introductory single to the 3rd album
With the Gaslight Anthem’s third album, ‘American Slang’ due for a June release, the upcoming single of the same name is taster of what to expect.
The foursome has come along way since their first release back in 2007 and ‘The ’59 Sound’ two years ago. With this new single, there is a very vigorous feel. Between the combination of drums crashing and vivacious guitars, as well as lead vocalist Brian Fallon belting out the lyrics in a strong manner and the full backing harmonies, ‘American Slang’ begins to grow on on a listener. Even though it may not strike a chord with you on your first listen, give it another three plays and it will have you within its grasp.
The Gaslight Anthem will be in the UK over the summer playing Hard Rock Calling as well as Leeds and Reading Festivals.
