Lovely anthemic indie
Taken from London based indie four piece Ghostlight's debut album, 'Photographs' is a lovely melodic indie tune with an anthemic edge in the vein of Coldplay. Apparently championed by Sparklehorse, who took them on tour based on their Myspace demos, the band seems to have mastered the knack of turning out a catchy tune and this fuzzy song is a treat; the twinkling beginning turns into a confident and memorable guitar anthem. The 'bedroom version' feels more Postal Service with an electro backing but it still shows off the sweet melody. 'This City' is a more gentle, down tempo track, acoustic, with just vocal and guitar; it's another lovely tune and makes quite an impact done in this way. These tracks are a great intro to this band and bode well for the album release.
