Aiming High
2010 has already been a big year for Polly Mackey And The Pleasure Principle, having the honour of opening SXSW in Texas, getting more and more exposure and radio airplay across the globe but yet at home in the UK, are still one of those bands that those in the know seem to be keeping to themselves. Well that is surely about to change with 'Higher', their debut commercially released single.
At just under four minutes, 'Higher' is a rollercoaster of emotions with fantastic vocals from Polly Mackey mixing soft tones with attitude that fits to the tone of the song perfectly. Backed up by the boys, who are all barely in their twenties, the entire band are creating music way beyond their years. Established artists over the world would give their left arm to create a song such as this.
There is no escaping the pleasure that Polly and co bring and 'Higher' is a prime example of that. There is even a free gig at The Big Chill in Kings Cross, London, to celebrate the launch of this single on 18th November.
