Progressive hard rock

From the start Dead Man's Crossing show they know how to pen a solid hard rock track. Opening their single 'Tears Of A Dead Man' with throbbing guitars that lead in to a lyric driven song, Colm Walsh's deep hollow voice has just the right timbre for this brand of commercial hard rock.

'Tears of a Dead Man' moves through verse and chorus before switching into the softer bridge, slowly building in tempo back up to a breaking point then returning to the solid chorus.
It is a by the numbers song, the transitions are wholly expected and they don't offer anything particularly new. That said, it's an attractive song filled with enticing lyrics, solid riffs and strong beats that should have wide commercial appeal.

Dead Man's Crossing write melodies that can easily turn in to anthems, you can clearly hear influences from 90s grunge and hard rock being blended with today's heavy prog sensibilities and I certainly recommend them to progressive hard rock fans everywhere.
