Films of Colour get into action
When much hard work was getting Films of Colour vocalist Andy Clutterbuck nowhere, he was all ready to give up his musical dream. That was until the singer posted a demo 'Actions' through his neighbours door and gained appreciation for what he was doing; his neighbour just happened to be Coldplay front man Chris Martin.
Now some time on, the band is releasing this song as their debut single and look set to get appreciation from a much larger audience. The song takes an uplifting element with some potent edgy melodies and a likeable chorus. When topped off by the sensitive, emotional and engrossing vocals of Clutterbuck, a radio-friendly and quite catchy indie track is fashioned.
'Circles' is the B-side accompanying this single and pretty much gives off the same emotions and expectations with the addition of some electronica, which although seems a little out of place, tends to work at some degree as it is not too overpowering.
Expect more from these fellas in the New Year.
