You can't help but think of Springsteen

Crazy Arm are from Plymouth, a fact that is easy to forget when crank up their single, which is a double A side consisting of'Ambertown' & 'Sweet Storm'.

'Ambertown' gets started with Darren Johns' vocals providing a slightly folky feel, but rapidly lifts the energy with strong guitars and drums, driving it in to a solid rocking country track. Crazy Arm take the vibes of the great rock of Springsteens era and add their mark, making full use of the depth of sound that can be achieved today.

'Sweet Storm' sees Victoria Butterfield add her haunting country voice to the dark tinged acoustic track. Stripped back in terms of sound the subtle music teases your senses as they tell you their tale, banjos adding to the folky sound.

Johns' voice leads both songs and sets the emotional feel, perfectly hitting the deep raw twinge that really caters to the sound that Crazy Arm have produced. It's a style you'd normally assosciate with America, but these Brit's are out to show that you don't have to be American to produce strong lyrics, haunting vibes and solid rocking country rock.
