No Comply's DVD 'Unleash the Fury' released by Deck Cheese records

At the forefront of the underground music scene, No Comply are somewhat considered revolutionaries in today's musical generation during a time where talented British musicians are discarded and ignored by the big labels in favour of those run-of-the mill bands America shits out everyday. With a defiant combination of ska, hardcore and punk no other band can match, No Comply are inspiration to a thousand other bands by showing that regardless to who you are and where you come from, you can go anywhere you want to go. After a successful European tour and dozen upon dozens of dates in support of last years full length 'With Windmills Turning Wrong Directions' Deck Cheese Records release a DVD in celebration of the bands success.

'Unleash the Fury' is a DVD action-packed with 12 of their finest tracks, two promotional videos that have featured on P-rock and Scuzz music channels, backstage footage, a photo gallery and much more. The tracks for their Garage set mostly orientates around their new album with the exception of 'Misuse of Control', 'Your Life (is your direction)' and 'Falling from Crosses'. This isn't such a bad thing since the band plays all of their best tracks plus some fan favourites. The set throughout is fast-paced and entertaining, with all members of the band putting every effort in every track. Evidence to why they are considered one of the best live acts ever to tour the UK.

The only problem with this DVD is the way it has been produced. It has some great additional features which are both interesting and comic but there is much more room for improvement. The quality of some of the additional tracks vary in places but there is the odd song that is quite disastrous due to the poor sound and how it's recorded on the single camera. A lot of the time of the additional footage is also spent on the band, especially Oz and Simon messing around which is quite amusing but it's not something you could watch every time you play the DVD.

Overall the DVD is excellent and gives a fine representation of the bands legendary performances, although it severely lacks in quality in some parts. It also seems a bit awkward for the band to already release a DVD as most bands who do this have been around for quite sometime and are at the peak of their careers and I feel that No Comply have still some way to go until they reach their maximum potential. Still a good DVD worth buying regardless to if you're a fanatic or fresh-face to No Comply's music.
