The Voluntary Butler Scheme- To The Height of a Frisbee
Gosh, it doesn't get more footloose and fancy-free than this one. The Voluntary Butler Scheme has come bouncing into view with a manic grin on his face and a spring in his step with the release of 'To The Height of a Frisbee'.
It's the first single from his second album "The Grandad Galaxy" and it's set the bar at a place of sheer breezy joy only ever seen frequented by Belle and Sebastian in the past; The VBS have even opted for a smattering of sax alongside the rich, chunky bass and lo-fi vocals. Combined with a really catchy little signature riff, you'll soon be drawn in.
Coming in at just under four minutes, this cheeky track is a deep breath of the sweetest air that will encapsulate that feel-good sensation usually gained from bagging a date or finding a fiver on the floor. As the single includes a remix by the devilishly good Dan Le Sac, it's safe to say this one's a keeper.
