Red Enemy - What We Are Contained In, Is What We Are Worth

Red Enemy is a name I've heard thrown around lately by my Irish friends, so I was quite pleased to receive a copy of their EP "What We Are Contained In, Is What We Are Worth".

This five-piece definitely have their feet grounded in hardcore, and they hold their ground well. Red Enemy recently toured with Parkway Drive and there are some definite similarities between the two bands.

The vocal work on here is very strong, they're deep and robust, there is not much diversity vocally in tones or texture, but that works well for Red Enemy. Musically, the songs are well structured, not overly complex but the band sound super tight and well rehearsed.

Red Enemy are a solid little metal band, with some progressive tendencies. Their music is punchy and not over powering, and the production on this EP is perfect. With the release of "What We Are Contained In, Is What We Are Worth" these Irishmen are bound to build a UK following to rival the following they have back home.
