Casiokids – Det Haster!
The Scandinavians have always had their own unique spin with their musical content. From the respected electro scene of Bergen, Norway, Casiokids are certainly no different in that respect. From the newest album "Aabenbarigen Over Aaskammen" comes the latest single 'Det Haster!' (which translates as "it's urgent" in Norweigan). With a driving bass line, soothing glacial vocals sung in native tongue and a wall of cascading yet hypnotic sythns that prove very infectious ear candy, the quartet exudes a post modern aesthetic for the post-Kraftwerck and Depeche Mode generation. Backed by a slick yet trippy remix by US indie pop maestros Of Montreal, the song still retains its futuristic sound but with a greater varying of texture.
A strong individual sounding output from an act that is intriguing able to invoke such imagery so readily and with a great degree of grandiose and charm.
