Erik Chandler - Writing The Wrongs

Erik Chandler is best known for being the bassist for Bowling For Soup, but now he has stepped out on his own with the release of Writing The Wrongs.

Chandler's EP kicks off with Tonight's The Night, a classic rock song with smart guitars riffs, solid drumming and flawless vocals. Tonight's The Night is the perfect introduction to what Erik Chandler does as a solo artist.

Next up is Push The Pedal, an instantly catchy track. It's the sort of song that sucks you in from the get go, and guaranteed to have you singing along by the time the second chorus hits.

There is a great mix of sounds on Writing The Wrongs; Hold It Together and Malibu Classic both have a different sound and pace to the previous two tracks, yet are still instantly recognisable as Erik Chandler songs.

There's a saying that the bassist is the least talented member of the band and Chandler defies that saying with this EP. My only complaint with Writing The Wrongs is that it is too short. It's home to four great songs that leave you wanting more. Thankfully, not only is he heading to the UK on tour next month, but there's also talk of a full length album being released later in the year.
