Mendeed - Act of Sorrow
Act of Sorrow is everything you'd expect to hear from a thrash metal band. Despite releasing their debut EP, 'Killing Something Beautiful' just two years ago, Mendeed have already established themselves as a live band, supporting an impressive line up to include Anthrax, My Ruin and more recently, Cradle of Filth.
This single takes the raw guitars and aggressive vocals of early Metallica, and places them with more melodic backing vocals. The guitar solos are reminiscent of Iron Maiden, this is fast paced and vicious.
Act of Sorrow is almost like a mini-epic of a song, carefully orchestrated, not dissimilar to Maiden classics, and more recent bands such as Devin Townsend.
Mendeed are now embarking on a gruelling tour with Amen across the UK, and with Casey Chaos' reputation for being a tad difficult, it would not surprise me if they were to outshine them on stage.
