The Future's Bright

You know the times you come across a new band releasing their debut EP and that it just blows you away, well one of those times is right here, right now.

Future Ages debut four track EP, cleverly entitled EP 001, is an exceedingly feisty alternative rock release which captures that chaotic and harmonic sound perfectly. The production and musicianship is so polished you can see the shine when you listen to it but, to be honest, that is not a big surprise from Future Ages as these guys are no strangers to the big stage. An example being vocalist Natasha Fox has recorded and performed live with the likes of Scroobius Pip.

Wolf At The Door opens the proceedings and lulls the listener into a false sense of security with its slow haunting dreamy feel, which shows that there are more strings to Future Age's bow. The other three tracks are full on killers, Childish Minds Will Roam and Under Orders close off the EP and with both being mammoth 5 minutes long, take the listener on an epic ride. The same can be said for Africa too but at only a 'short' three minutes.

Natasha Fox's vocals have the correct emotion and, where needed, power to complement the explosive guitars from Daryl Tattoo, Jon Pearce's thumping bass lines and Samuel Thompson's drums. Put them all together and you have the perfect package.
