Fighting Fiction - Cameraphones and Choruses
Cameraphones and Choruses is the exuberant new single by British indie-pop band Fighting Fiction, taken from their debut self-titled album which was released earlier this year. The band have been praised for their several stage appearances on their own headline tours and at numerous festivals around the UK, and it's easy to see why.
The Brighton-based quartet have released a cheeky and bouncy pop-rock track tastefully laced with indie, that is full of life and oozing with energy. The vocals are far from the usual incoherent squawking that's associated with indie bands these days; however, other than that, there's nothing that clearly distinguishes them from other indie-punk rockers of today.
This single has all the typical markings of an indie anthem: youthful vocals, with an accent shining through every syllable; clean guitar riffs, energetic drum beats; snappy lyrics, and a breezy, catchy chorus. In terms of placing themselves on the map, it's fair to say they've already done so considerably well, and here's to hoping that they stay there.
