Still waiting for an impact.
If I Am Kloot and Embrace had love children that came from Iceland, they would be Leaves. So as you can imagine this isn't the most original of bands judging from this track, filled with layered sound, fairly intricate arrangement and indistinctive lyrics and vocals.
This comes across as a fairly bland effort. Despite the fact that this band had gone through a major lineup change in 2003, there really is no excuse for such a stereotypical song such as 'The Spell'. There is nothing that differentiates this song from anything else you may find on say, a recent Feeder B side. This is listenable and far from being bad by any standards but I suggest stay away from this song to avoid feeling like you've heard it a million times before and wanting to doze off.
Until they find their own distinctive, memorable sound Leaves' 'The Spell' isn't worth lending your ears to.
