Days Of Worth - State of Me
This track 'State of Me' is claimed by the bands press office to be similar to the likes of 'Monkey Wrench' by the Foo Fighters, 'Spoonman' by Soundgarden, and 'Black Dog' by Led Zeppelin. Upon reading this I thought that this was a pretty brave and sweeping statement to make. It would have to be really good to compare to Led Zeppelin. In fact, it would have to be pretty great. It is not that good I'm afraid to say. However, it is a good song, and I can definitely hear those influences in there. An upbeat, catchy, slightly punk sounding track, it shows great potential for a band who have recently released their debut album and appeared at this years Download festival. This track is the second release from the bands acclaimed 'The Western Mechanism' album, and listening to it has definitely persuaded me to go and buy the album.
