High rising band release a scorching new single

This month sees the awaited release of Mandeed's new single 'Beneath A Burning Sky' and fans will be engulfed in the sheer heat of the musical passion that courses through the veins of this new offering. The new single promises an electrifying and original display of hardcore vocals and raging staccato guitars that will rip through flesh and smash skulls like a gigantic battle-axe. As Mendeed gain towering recognition through touring with the likes of Cradle of Filth, Avenged Sevenfold and Slipknot, playing to ever increasing crowds and dragging even the slightly curious into the magnetic force of their music as they go, 'Beneath A Burning Sky' seems set to burn through the eternal horizons of metal, their name branding a sheer inferno of reputation into the heart and souls of hardcore and melodic death metal fans everywhere. If ever there was a single as complex and diverse enough to use as a completely unique and captivating insight into their music then 'Beneath A Burning Sky' is most certainly it.

The self titled opening track of the single kicks in with an incredibly lively and energetic riff that burns away at the mind, falling all around like acid rain. Of course it is clear to see from this raging, abrasive introduction that this band are very heavily influenced by death metal, but like many others these days, Mendeed have turned to dabble in the more melodic and structured side of the sub-genre. However, Mendeed really do show a much more prestige and advanced knowledge of melodic structure and harmonies that keeps them a gigantic step ahead of other bands following the same path, displaying breathtaking and skilful playing of solos, perfect and almost flawless structure and blending of abrasive and almost melancholic, clean harmonies that purr like a contended feline after a kill. Indeed the use of harmonies in the clean parts of the music, usually the chorus, are so powerful and driving that the emotion of the music really hits you like a large brick wall, pounding you further and further under it's force, adding a hint of rage and despair into the mood with the overlap of wild and raging screaming. Add temperamental, ever changing timing use that twists and shape-shifts throughout the song like an off course and incredibly enraged tornado and you really do have something special going on!

The remaining two songs are fairly generic in sound and don't particularly stand out as much in themselves as the self titled opening but, they do not do any harm or injustice to the wonderful first impression that the explosive opening track makes and certainly display well enough those attributes that work hard to set Mendeed apart. The third track in particular focuses especially on well structured, aggressive and staccato guitar playing and the unstoppable force left behind by the incredible and impressive application of clean vocals and harmonic theory into the music. It is evident to see why the likes of Amen are so eager to invite Mendeed to play with them, they are more than worthy of having the opportunity to play with some of the largest names in metal and we can certainly hope to see them playing as one of the best of the best in the near future. A must for fans of metal who like their melodic death metal or hardcore to have a slight European twist to the mix, 'Beneath A Burning Sky' will captivate and lure the mind from the cranium of the listener, guaranteed!
