They're no ordinary boys these local boys, The Rifles prove their worth.

If the Libertines employed Paul Weller to replace Pete Doherty they would sound like this. This is The Jam, circa their best, and by golly; it makes you remember how good that band was. And it's a great refreshment to have them back, ah, no wait, this is The Rifles, right... Still, homage is no bad thing!

Not at all, not when it sounds like this. It's energy is so present you can't help but move to it, the song encompasses you and overthrows your senses, you feel like part of a movement whilst having no real idea what it is. But whatever, because this song will get you on your feet and off your ass because it's awesome. Yes, awesome!

You must look out for The Rifles, the final component to the 80s revival scene, we've had the big synth sound imitators (The Killers/Kaiser Chiefs) and the quirkier Human League/Sparks-esque bands like Clor, and now it's time to bring back the indie underworld edge, The Smiths/The Cure/The Jam-style, and you can find that edge here, The Rifles are that edge. They've brought back a type of music that will never get old because it is energy incarnate. You're looking at a young group with integrity and flare here. They are that edge! Long live The Rifles.
