Oh they're set to go everywhere
You know what would be so representative of young British talent that isn't NME approved these days? If My Awesome Compilation hit the road with The Fight. I mean sure the Americans invented this pop centred sweet smile inducing head nodding music, but these kids do it so well. Honestly, I'd like to challenge you. Try not to sing along by the second chorus that imprints itself in your head the way a Jimmy Eat World chorus raptures their fans. I'll pay you in never ending Ataris memorabilia you don't have your head echoing this after just one listening, for real. It's like...awesome, for the lack of a better word.
These boys have fans in Reel Big Fish, Fall Out Boy, Spitalfield and Alkaline Trio and they have the ability to garner the glare of the spotlight just as much as them. On occasion they've stolen the emo-pop-punk spotlight from the peers they support, fans lying in many an independent promoter, magazine and webzine editor. They have established a firm base from which to launch themselves from - by working hard and producing good tunes. Good on them, setting an example for the youngsters who will eat up this sticky, but not sickly British bred bands brand of music.
