Amazingly Good Rock Music
The most recent Dandy Warhols album 'Odditorium or Warlords of Mars', has been described by this very website as being "experimental to the last". In amongst the genre hopping and musical wanderings, is 'All the Money or the Simple Life Honey' which is the latest to be given single status. Reassuringly this is the Dandy's at their writing-potential-hit-records best.
OK, so mainstream radio will probably ignore this in favour of playing 'Bohemian Like You' some more as it was on a mobile phone advert, but just because this one might pass unnoticed by the masses, it doesn't alter the fact that it is up there as one of the bands finest singles to date.
The main thing you need to know is, like 'Get Off', 'Not If You Were the Last Junky on Earth' or any other of their anthems you might care to mention, this one rocks! A fantastic windows down, blasting from the car stereo, air drums, feel-good blues-based rock track with a belter of a catchy chorus that will be stuck in your brain before you know it and will only leave once it has been surgically removed from your skull. To be honest if you don't like this one you should take a long hard look at yourself.
Here ends today's lesson, your homework- to make this the hit it should be.
