Definately Different!
The Early Years were born not so long ago in 2004 when David Malkinson got together with Roger Mackin and Phil Raines. When they managed to get a demo together they started to get some notable backers in the form of Radio One's Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens and John Kennedy over on XFM.
One thing that can be said about this debut single is that it's far from conventional, and quite hard to describe. Other than that there are definately some psychedelic guitar noises that come barking at you in 'All Ones And Zeros', there is also something that can only be described as ambient noise floating out at you.
The first time you listen to the single you wonder how bizarre this band must be, but at least they have not stuck to the boring tried and tested indie guitar root that everyone else seems to be doing.
