Screeching vocals demand to know 'What's Your Damage?'

Picture the scene. As 2006 kicks in Test Icicles sit down to discuss their plans for the New Year. On the agenda a new single, 'What's Your Damage?' and a UK tour. Oh yeah, and on March 29th the band have pencilled in their split. If recent rumours are to be believed, then March 29th will mark the end of the Test Icicles year, indeed the end of the band themselves. Quick to quash these reports, Test Icicles announced a bigger tour taking them up to April but there was no promise of life after these dates. So, are Test Icicles destined to be a bright spark in the history of punk, a band who lit up the scene for a while then left in a very non rock and roll fashion by scheduling their ending? For now it's a little unclear so all that's left to do is seek solace in their latest single as everyone tries to work out what in fact is Test Icicles damage.

Sauntering off to a reasonably subdued start, 'What's Your Damage?' initially resembles little of the usual thrashing styling of Test Icicles. But fear not, after a mere ten seconds the wail of "let's go" and a barrage of demonic cackles suggests that normal Test Icicles service will be resumed and to a certain extent it is. Vocals are screeched out in an out of breath pace as the Test Icicles perform the kind of music teenagers fantasise about whilst their parents shake their heads in disbelief and tut at what passes as music these days. Fun filled, action packed and energy bursting, 'What's Your Damage?' will appeal to teenagers everywhere, if only as a form of punishment to inflict on their parents ears, whilst the screeching, screaming vocal range will leave your own vocal chords aching in sympathy.
