Nightmares on Wax provice a dreamy chilled comeback.

With a forthcoming album entitled 'In A Space, Outta Sound' it may be reasonable to assume that Nightmares on Wax are coming back with a laid back and unconventional musical journey. Comeback single 'Passion' lives up to its album title and more and provides a welcome return for this experienced and highly regarded act.

As a song, 'Passion' may slouch and slide to its relaxed conclusion, but it never fails to intrigue and there is always something going on, be it the bubbling bass in the background or the light electronic beat.

The track glides on by effortlessly with its jazz style tempo and its keyboard squeals move the track on a bit, and the female backing vocals add a nice touch, almost like on Pink Floyds 'Great Gig In The Sky'

Midway through the track, the tone takes a more underwater feel and the music gets squelchier but it doesn't deviate far from its original course and saunters along to its shuffling end.

As a precursor to the album, it may not indicate all the signposts that Nightmares on Wax are bound to journey but it serves as a reminder of what they have to offer to us all again.
