Metal tinged socially aware hardcore from the Polish underground.
Sunrise have burst out the relatively unknown scene of Poland. They have elements of metal, punk and hardcore moulded into one flawlessly delivered unit. Their songs are politcally charged with a punk attitude grafted onto metal riffs. It would be easy to compare the band to Brazillian bruisers Sepultura or New York noiseniks Sick Of It All but the band have set themselves apart fom these acts.
Opening track "Born Free Die Free" is a sharp blast of straight edge energy with drumming worthy of Lars Ulrich. Vocalist Pat spits out every song with venom in his own European tone giving the band its own angle of originality.
Traces to Nowhere has it all, it has sing-a-longs, crunchy metal riffs and its whole attitude screams rebellion. If anyone wanted a soundtrack for the fall of the Soviet Union it would be this album.
Sunrise are a diamond in the rough worthy of great things to come.
