A child like quality
Psapp is the end product of work by a London based duo, Carim Clasmann and Galia Durant, a musical project which brings together the pairs passion for a wide range of genres of music, as well as bringing a few quirky sounds to the party for good measure.
'Tricycle' is the most recent single from this interesting double act, and is a very simple slice of relaxed melodic alternative music. The simpleness of the melody at times gives this a child's lullaby feel, the name 'Tricycle' helps point my brain in that direction.
The tune of this chill-out track, as with every other part of this song, is very straightforward and doesn't seem to vary much between verse and chorus. This doesn't make for a dull listen but it also struggles to really grab or excite the imagination. It is uncomplicated but ultimately could be more adventurous.
If you liked Nizlopi's 'JCB Song' then you'll probably like this. If you didn't don't let that put you off as that comparison is merely intended as a guide as to how this song sounds. 'Tricycle' can be found on the band's latest eleven track offering 'The Only Thing I Ever Wanted'.
