Adem - Love and Other Planets

Adem releases his second solo album "Love and Other Planets". This new album is the follow up to his debut release "Homesongs" which came out in 2004. Adem is strictly a singer/song writer he uses a variety of instruments to thicken his sound and his vocals are very distinctive.

The album starts off in a calm and searching manner with the track "Warning Call", the whole album has an earthy folk styling about it. "Human Beings Gather 'Round" has a very claming quality about it. "Launch Yourself" on the other hand seems to be an attempt at pop, there is a clever rhythm patted out by hand claps and "Crashlander" is a gentle jazzy number.

"Sea of Tranquillity" is a romantic lullaby, which is bound to be a favourite with the ladies, as is "Spirals" a delicate song where Adem seems to let us deep within his heart. "You and Moon" seems a little more tongue in cheek, a track with hip-hop style hand beats and ironic lyrics; he still manages to come up with something enchanting.

This is the perfect CD to listen to if you've had a stressful day and you just want to get away from it all and chill out.
