Usurped By 'B' Side
Hailing from London, Roebeck consist of two guys, Luke and Brett on a quest to create chilled out down-tempo dance tracks, the type to wind down to at the end of a busy night on the town.
Vocally lacking, 'Do You Remember' is mellow with extra emphasis on the 'low'. If this track was more laid back it would be in need of resuscitating. Initial evenly paced drumbeats soon merge with an array of instruments from the classic piano to the more electro sounding synths before ending with the gentle plucking of an acoustic guitar. This simply reeks of dance chill out. However, 'Do You Remember' is upstaged by the inclusion of a 'B' side, 'Just Wanna Be Loved'. With the echoing whirling sound of a breeze, 'Just Wanna Be Loved' harbours an extra urgency that makes it stand out as a dance hit. The inclusion of vocals speeds up the track further and yet still allows it to retain a sense of calmness. Expect a remix to be heading to a dance floor near you soon. In the meantime though revel in its mellow madness as you unwind after a Saturday night on the dance floor.
