Thankfully there are still some things in life you can rely on besides Pete Doherty being arrested and Starsailor fit this category. Since their debut release in 2001, Chorley's Starsailor have continued to release earnestly intimate indie rock in the mould of Brit pop but with Starsailor's own raw personal touch.
'Keep Us Together' is the band's third release from their gold selling 'On The Outside' album and is everything that's come to be expected from Starsailor. Lush, rousing rock is woven intricately together by James Walsh's bittersweet, reflective vocals that are so characteristic of the band with their unique expressiveness that is instantly recognisable. 'Keep Us Together' is very much Starsailor's summer tune. Instrumentally upbeat with a rousing chorus gelled together by some strategically placed "oh's, oh's", 'Keep Us Together' will surely insure a crowd sing along at the band's numerous festival appearances this summer and will perhaps remind those whose memories have discarded Starsailor as a band who continually seem to be overlooked.
