Catchy Quirky and Delightful

'White Collar Boy's jazzy intro rhythm is the indie spitting image of the buoyant tang behind Goldfrapp's 'Strict Machine', however this is soon hidden beneath the typical quirky Belle & Sebastian wise-cracking vocals. It has more of a roguish twist and glint in its eyes than most of the Glasgwegian band's work; "White collar boy, on the run from the law," chirps Stuart Murdoch accompanying the lilting keyboards and sparky guitars. There's even a lithe guitar solo passage that sets the tune alight, while still maintaining the classic twee sound that we associate with Belle & Sebastian; this is what your favourite Scottish indie band are like after a few drinks with their shirts ruffled!

'Long Black Scarf' is a restrained contrast with a slow, mournful tune sweetened by skittering brass and balmy vocals, 'Heaven In The Afternoon' is led by graceful female vocals and caresses your ears gently with its easy guitar tune and sweet vibe which is almost tangible like honey on the tongue.
