Rock Attitude With Melody
Conveying an innocence masked beneath a rock attitude, female fronted London five piece They Drove Me To It bring all the right rock ingredients necessary to stand out from the crowd. Having sold out their previous single release, TDMTI now return with 'Support In The Downtime', an EP offering that openly imparts full force rock whilst simultaneously supplying a melodic edge, insuring TDMTI provide the perfect quota of rock attitude with a melody to match.
Kicking off with 'Enemy', TDMTI instantly showcase their signature style. Attitude oozes from every line innocently snarled from lead singer Kelly's lips whilst guitars wail with a punk rock attitude. 'Enemy' tentatively turns the amps up to ten whilst dipping its toe into the ballad pool, rocking hard enough to please but still retaining its ear for melody to prevent it becoming a raging mess. Indeed this seems to be the key to TDMTI style. Veering down the pop/rock path, 'Kill Your Martyrs' boasts a catchy hook that when combined with Kelly's sweetly impassioned vocals heads almost into to anthem territory, easily making it the stand out track of the EP, no easy task considering previous single release 'Bulletproof' also finds its way onto 'Support In The Downtime'.
Wonderfully passionate vocals and a rock fuelled agenda brilliantly convene on 'Support In The Downtime' as TDMTI take one more step forward, showing all why they are a band to watch out for.
