Audio Auto-Pilot
'Original Fire' is the first single taken from Audioslave's forthcoming third album 'Revelations'. It's a groove-led track with a catchy chorus that sees them once again in full on stadium rock mode. This track is a bit more straightforward than their previous releases and in some ways it's a strange song, because it seems a million miles away from the hard hitting and original material that you would expect former members of Rage Against the Machine and Soundgarden to be producing.
This single isn't really offering much in the way of originality or excitement; it's really standard stuff and a little disappointing, it feels like they're on auto pilot which is a shame considering the massive talent they have in the band. Obviously being Audioslave you expect nothing less than a foot stomping stadium filling crowd pleaser, and you do get that, but this track seems a little radio friendly even for them.
