'I Don't Feel Like Dancing' is a slice of New York synth pop that could only come from the shimmying Scissor Sisters. This track even strolls with a lolloping, camp rhythm that gives way to a 70's twee pop chorus with stuttering falsetto and space age zaps. The coda in which singer Jack Shears put on a soulful solo that drops at least an octave lower than his usual squeal is a hint to the fact that this isn't a band of one hit wonders, but a serious band who trade unabashedly in playful pop.
Kitsch and bright with a Bee Gees twang, be afraid because this single marks Scissor Sisters return to the charts and they're sure to stick there just like eyelash glue.
