A Sparkling Indie Treat

Glistening indie melodies with a compulsive energy and perfect backing of rippling electric guitar sounds and persistent percussion that pushes the tune to a new level mark the opening track, 'Mothers, Sisters, Daughters and Wives'. It's a edgy, stunning anthem that could sit comfortably on any radio show. 'Fast Asleep' turns away from the anxious electronic accents and invokes jangly guitar riffs while the emphatic, fast-paced vocals of the chorus ring around your ears before a glorious instrumental section welcomes a cello for a swaying surge of drama.

'Rise Up In The Dirt' moves from a musing verse into a gloriously positive and excited chorus, "I could be a father, I could be a brother" amidst elated piano chords, while 'Four Long Days' is a thoroughly chirpy tune with a spark added by the twinkling piano and sweeping strings. It has to be said that the darker and more melancholy numbers have more of a charm about them, but this is a great EP full of fantastic songs that simply can't remain static and as instrument upon instrument is piled in, you can't help but smile.
