Back to the 80s with Lorraine's latest effort, a striking double A-side
Lorraine are back and whether you felt it or not with their last single 'I Feel It', this double A-side, featuring a cover of Psychedelic Furs should get you going. 'Heaven' sounds like The Waterboys gone electro and is a good re-rendering of a classic song, like The Delays taking a slightly edgier approach to their composition style.
The band's own 'Saved' is very much the indie of now, alike to Blackbud and their contemporaries, but with a difference in the underlying musical atmosphere of the piece. Think the 80s, the 80s of The Pet Shop Boys and of Depeche Mode and you're getting there, it's the lighter end of electronica and it's quite invigorating and attractive in amongst the rest of today's musical market. They're getting there, and getting closer with every release, the Scandinavian Lorraine are certainly a band worth keeping an eye on for the future.
