Ferocious, Funky Indie Rock

Whales aren't one of nature's most funky animals, but The Mighty Roars do for whales what Catwoman did for your average mog; there will be a strange new respect for these mighty fish with surfers everywhere rushing to signal, "rock on" to the bemused creatures. Shimmying handclaps and a groovy bassline kick in even before singer Lara's vocals emerge screaming with a punk attitude and leading up to a race neck chorus. 'Whale' is a mover and shaker of a tune that's full of infectious energy.

B-side 'Whipped Ma Bitch' has the same cool vocal harmonies that conjure up images of sunny beaches, even if the whale hadn't already ridden the surf wave through this single. If you're looking for a mellow, frothy surf rock sound to recall summer and brush of a lazy Sunday's lethargy, look no further than The Mighty Roars for inspiration.
