Country tinged indie-rock.
Taken from the album 'From The Sky', 'Forever' is the latest folk/ alt. country tinged single from Blackbud. They essentially have a classic mainstream indie-rock sound, however, they get away from sounding like Keane with guitars because of their folk edge, and because they have such an excellent vocalist in Joe Taylor. He has a smooth and rich voice full of depth and emotion and this really raises them above the usual middle of the road rock of a band like Keane.
This track is a good choice for a single release; it's one of the better songs on the album but by no means the only one and should encourage people to check them out in more depth. 'Forever' has some nice touches and is a good introduction to their sound; an anthemic and memorable chorus really hooks you in with its crescendo of melody and there is a brilliant section that sounds like it's been plucked straight from a spaghetti western.
