Inme - Caught White Butterfly DVD
Last December Essex trio Inme performed at The London Astoria, that gig was captured on film and is now being released on DVD. The gig marked the end of a very good year from Inme, so it's not surprising that they want their fans to remember it.
This concert shows a collection of 17 of Inme's songs, which include '7 Weeks' and 'So You Know'. During 'Just A Glimpse' the band really get the crowd going, and The Astoria seems to be a sea of people all moving as one.
The camera work on this DVD tends to be a bit repetitive and predictable, also their token swearing does get a bit annoying. I know most bands swear at gigs, and it works with the crowd, but on the DVD it seems fake for some reason. The sound on the DVD is fantastic, as if you were at the gig yourself. Overall you can tell that Inme are genuine and that they love what they do, and judging by the crowd's reaction I'd say they love what Inme do too.
The extras on this DVD include a band interview and a photo gallery.
If you enjoy Inme's music or have ever seen them perform live then his is definitely for you. The only probablem is that The Astoria isn't a huge venue, and most live DVD's are recorded at stadiums so at times this does look a bit odd, kind of like the band are playing in a large pub. Nevertheless Inme's performance more than makes up for it.
